These are the phrase that I learned from the TV show "Gilmore Grils". It is one of the famous TV shows in America, talking about a mother and daughter living in the countryside on the West Coast. As the mom gave birth to her daughter when she was 18, they are more like a friend not like mother and daughter relationship. The mom grew up with rich parents who gave lots of pressure to follow rules that her parents made and it made her grow up as a so-called delinquent, independent girl who didn't want to follow her parent's opinion. On the other hand, her daughter is a type-A student who has always dreamed about going to Harvard. The dynamics of the three Gillmore girls make the shows really interesting. I love watching one or two episodes of the TV show after my work.
