🐄 가이지즈(Gyges)는 왕의 가축을 돌보는 사람이었다. 지진이 나서 갈라진 틈에서 발견한 시체의 손가락에서 반지를 빼왔다. 우연히 반지를 돌리면 투명인간이 되어 다른 사람들이 볼 수 없다는 사실을 알게 된다. 그는 원수를 죽이고 도둑질을 하였으며, 왕비를 유혹하고, 국왕을 죽여서 왕위를 차지하였다.
